Ok this may sound weird but I'm wondering if anyone out there feeds raw to dogs who live on gravel.Seems that the pea gravel sticks to raw chicken when my dogs drag it around and I wonder if I should be concerned about them swallowing some by accident or breaking a tooth by accidently biting into a rock.I sometimes put them out one by one in the grass area to feed raw but I don't always have the time to do this with five dogs.Anyone know if this is a potential hazard? Thanks in advance!

A lot of dogs eat small rocks and knaw on them ..I would feed later when you get home and have time...on the back patio or in grassy area.
I dont like to leave raw meat sitting around without supervision. If the dog doesnt eat the raw you give him in 30 minutes it should be thrown away..Do not let your dog bury it or leave it lay and come back and eat it.
That is how the ecoli and salmanela gets involved. Feed raw when you can monitor your dog and make sure it is all eaten immediately.

Find a tray or a pan or something for them to eat out of large enough that they don't drop it on the ground or in the rock's.
Make something if you can't find anything else. I don't mind mine eating off the ground as they do spill food but it's not the best way to go about feeding them in gravel if it's raw meat.
And rose is right if they don't eat it in a timely manner take it away from them.
I used to see Maddy eating pea gravel when she was very young, it drove me crazy..LOL I still don't know why she did it, but she quit.

I feed raw and mostly the dogs eat in crates. Some eat outside on grass and/or dirt, which doesn't bother me. But I think I would try to avoid ingestion of pea gravel on a regular basis.

Years ago I used to have pea gravel in my runs, and once in a while certain dogs would eat it. I almost lost one dog due to it. At that time I also used to bag up the messes, and put them in the garbage cans. My garbage man finally told me he was going to quit emptying the cans, as they weighed about 250 lbs. or so. That was the end of the gravel for me.
