Larrydee,

I'm sorry but couple of bad apples over the net doesn't mean that everyone who sells dogs over the net are bad. The best thing that we can do as a community is to warn others about fraudulent and criminal dealings from bad breeders/importers so everyone can stay away from them.

Not everybody can afford to take long trips to states or even across the country just so they can see a dog and/or to see if the papers are in hand.

A breeder/broker SHOULD BE HONEST and if their not, the best place for them is to the pits and thats why we have forums such as this one. Theirs also a website that I'm sure that everyone is well aware of and that is www.ripoffreports.com

I think most people are enticed not over the contact over the internet but the websites that at times are very deceptive.

Hopefully the paper situation for the OP will be resolved.  He is a beautiful dog.  I am sorry for anyone that has to go through this.  Paperwork is the most important thing to proving credibility.

Most recently, we had another contributor on this board that had a female that was being shown at the Canadian Siegershow without papers and the contributor herself admitted that the dog was on "consignment" and guaranteed the animal under her own contract.  Where are we here?  A dog on consignment.  Of course the "owner" of the dog is not going to release paperwork on the dog until they receive their money for it.

JMHO.

My advice, and I'm just a long time owner, not a breeder so I'm not very knowledgable or experienced here:  NEVER take the dog (because you will get attached) or a pay any money until you get papers.  I've bought two dogs who were supposed to have papers and I never got them.  I trusted that they would be mailed to me as promised in contract....never got papers.  I recently aquired a dog with papers promised to be mailed within 3 days, of course, now 3 weeks later, I'm attached to the dog and he's not going anywhere, and I'll never see papers (have been informed I'm not getting papers).  I'll NEVER take a dog or even go to look at a dog again unless papers are there with the dog.

MNGSDLUVER, my heart goes out to you and I hope you get your papers!  I know the devestation of having an awesome, amazing dog and no papers.  It hurts and it's unfair.  I hope justice finds you.  No one should have to go through this.

Your right their are plenty of legimate breeders around.  But just pick a day any day and look at the front page of the database forum and you will find at least one complaint about a breeder.  Two grand is a lot of money to pay for a pup the breeder should treat that customer with kidd gloves not have them as a last resort to come on this forum with their tale of woe.

I did send her a certified letter with a demand for his papers or a return of my money, that is when she finally sent me an email saying the dog wasn't hers and I needed to try and get the papers from her friend Gina. I emailed her back but of course she never replied. Here is a copy of his serbian pedigree or papers, it has his registration number, as I've never seen Serbian papers before, I thought this was a copy of his papers.

Call the breed registry and tell them they always have people who speak English and they can contact the breeder for permission to release the papework start at the SV and they will direct you to the proper numbers to call for Serbia get international calling it will take some calls but I think they may be able to help you. I would still find out the breeders number and deal with him the SV will have his number on file.

RIK and MNgsdlvr:  She is certainly well enough to sell to Jaquar daughters to a recent poster here, who got miffed at another breeders no balls, and she gave her a nice male stud to go along with those two female bitches....

No where is she when this man who paid a whopping amount of money for  LORD. . , WANTS A SIMPLE ANWER TO HIS DOGS PAPERS...GO ASK THE WOMAN WHO OWNS THE PAPERS......EXCUSE ME   B COATS..

YOU SOLD THIS  MAN THE DOG, YOU TOOK HIS MONEY   YOU GET THE PAPERS....I HAD THE SAME THING EXACTLY DONE TO ME IN SPRINGVILLE, ALABAMA AND I NEVER GOT ANYTHING DONE ABOUT MY MALE PUPS PROBLEMS , EITHER...

THE PERSONS WHO TOOK  MY CHECK MADE OUT TO THEM , DEPOSITED IN THEIR ACCOUNT, AND THEN CLAIMED THEY DIDNT OWN THE DOG IN THE FIRST PLACE,. AND WE ARE SELLING IT FOR   MISS  BLAH BLAH BLAH WHO OWES US MONEY, AND

THEN , I FIND OUT,, THE DOG DOESNT EVEN BELONG TO THAT WOMAN , A DOBERMAN BREEDER...WHO WAS A NOT SO NICE WOMAN,  IT BELONGED TO HER LIVE IN BOYFRIEND, MANFRIEND OR SHACK UP.    SO   PEOPLE , WAKE UP

DO NOT BUY FROM A BROKER, OR ANYONE WHO CANNOT SEND PAPERS UPON EXCHANGE OF MONEY.  EXAMINE ALL PAPERS AHEAD OF TIME AND CALL AKC OR SV IN THE COUNTRY THE DOG IS FROM.   IF THERE ARE QUESTIONS, CALL SOMEONE OFF THIS BOARD THAT YOU KNOW IS TRUTHFUL AND HAS AN EXCELLENT REPUTATION....BOB-0 AND SILBERSEE KNOW GERMANY INSIDE OUT AND THEY CAN FIND YOU HELP OVERSEAS.  MANY OTHERS , CAN ASSIST..

I sell a lot of dogs to people sight unseen. We aren't ALL bad. No one has failed to get papers from me yet! $2K is a lot of money for a dog with that pedigree. You should have gotten the papers at or just after the time you got the dog at that age. I'm glad you love him. He looks like a neat boy. Just call it a loss and forget about the papers is my advice.

This makes me so mad...my first GSD came from Hungary and we had a lot of trouble getting the papers..we finally did but it took over a year..the broker was paid but he didn't pay the breeder over there.

Always make sure you get the papers and then you pay..Way too much stories about that.  In this world you can't trust anybody and when they live far away you don't even have any law protecting you..

Just a question..how can you make sure that it is in fact the good papers they are giving you?  THat the dog your buying really has that pedigree..DNA maybe??

Sorry but I have a hard time believing that those dogs reaaly match those pedigree..JMO
