Trainers - Page 1

I am getting a German Shepherd pup soon and I wanted to get some feedback from anyone who knows any reputable trainers in the San Bernardino, Riverside, Orange, or LA county area for protection and obedience.  Might sonsider Schutzhund too.  Thanks.

Go to the United Schutzhund  clubs of America and look for clubs in your area.

IACP is made up of Balanced Trainers who must prove their experience prior to becoming a member(some organization just ask for $50.00 and then you are a member)

IACP's certification test far outweighs any other "certification" testing for dog trainers out their, besides NADOI(National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors).  You are required to submit essays, references, and video of dogs in training in order to pass.  It is an arduous test to take and pass.

Many trainers within this organization are also active in Schutzhund as well, but, they are professionals who can assist you with general obedience, housetraining, home protection, etc.....if your goal is not competition.

Not sure how far you are from Tom Ritchie's club, I think he might be closer to SD, but he is a really good trainer.  Also Al Banuelos is down in that area, and if you are into Schutzhund he has done quite a bit in the sport.
