Not that there's anything wrong with eyebrows lol Bella will be 4 months next week and seems to be getting eyebrows. She has a few white hairs on her chest, so I'm wondering if she might end up with a mask? Sure is fun to watch 'em grow. She also has a pretty good grip for her age. You'll have to pry her teeth off that squeaky lamb if you want to get it away from her. Here's a pic of Bella I took this afternoon. I just started noticing the eyebrows a week or so ago.
Please don't beat me if this is another dumb question :)

LOL her face is smooth and the rest of her is fluffy. Cute. Love it when their ears are all over.
About that grip...make her hold the toy in the back of her mouth, if she grabs it like that when you play, work it back and forth until she regrips and holds it deeper, then reward that full grip. If she is chewy on the toy keep a line on it and some tension, if she lets go to chew or drop, whip it away from her and she loses it. She loses it a few times she will hold it better. She may be teething or soon anyway, don't work her if her eeth seem to bother. My 7 month old is getting molars and ger grips changed this past week and she is taking a break from grip work for awhile.

4pack, that was another question I've been wondering about. I've been working with Bella on obedience but thought she might be too young to worry about her grip. She doesn't chew on her toys/tugs. Once she latches on, that's it unless I pry her teeth off or let her win. Bella seems to be game for just about anything right now so I plan to take take advantage of her interest in learning while it lasts.

I had to smile when I saw her photo. That's a really cute face. Love those ears. Don't worry about her "eyebrows" or ears. Chances are everything will be just fine. I teach mine obedience when they are young and eager to please. It's so easy at that age.

Oh- what a Doll! She is just adorable! You can see a lot of personality shining through those eyes, whether they have eyebrows or not! Is she on the database? jh

Ok, now I understand what you mean with eyebrows. Joe and I were trying to figure that one out, when you said that she is developing markings. Since she is an all black dog, that is pretty difficult. It does seem that she is loosing her puppy fuzz in her face first before the rest follows. That is interesting since I have never seen that in such a pronounced way before. Does she have the usual ridge on her back as well?
Wouldn't that be funny if she lost all her fuzzy hair to end up as a normal stockcoat? Oops, I don't mean to scare you, lol.
Oh and grips: Her sister Raven has the same latch with her grips. None of these girls were ever ankle sharks as little puppies, not even as a group together. But they sure know how to bite and can be serious already.

Hi Chris,
Not sure what you mean by a ridge on her back, but also got a video of Bella yesterday playing with Murphy with the garden hose. She's in the shade most of the time so can't see her real well but she does come out a few times in the sunlight. A few weeks ago Bella just followed Murphy around, but now she's playing tug with the hose and actually wins a few times.
Funny, I'm also wondering if Bella might turn out to be a stock coat. Wouldn't matter to me, I'll love her either way. Bella is also developing a really nice gait. I've only seen it a few times as she is usually doing her puppy gallup. Made me turn my head in amazement. Anyway, here's the link to the video www.youtube.com/gsdlongcoat Sorry it's so long. I'll have to learn how to edit :)
