The olympic post got me thinkin......when training for a SchH event or agilty.etc...who trains your dogs?  What I mean is who comes up with your diet and excercise programs for your canine athlete? Also just for curiousity I would love to hear what some of your training programs (off the field) are like? Such as how often do you bike, swim, run etc...before an event? do your feeding schedules change,etc....

I work with the sports medicine guys, for food and heath issues ( injuries, hydration issues, rehab: they have a nice water treadmill ).  Excercise the program is set by my trainer ( what he wants me to work on during the week).  Fun time is just common sense.  Fun time is very important for me and my dogs.  We ( my team) all feel that dogs are not robots so there has to be fun.  Have a great day.

My dogs are trained by ME and my CLUB, without the help from my club members I would be at a loss.  I have worked quite a bit with Ivan B. and consider him a very good friend, so when I am really stumped on something I will give him a call.  Or I will call David D. who lives here in CA now and is an excellent OB trainer.  My friend Kelley often gives me ideas on ob as well.

I have trained with some of the best guys over at the South County Club and they have always been very supportive and I feel that I improved my handling skills with the little bit of time I spent over there.

My club helper Jose Lopez  has done a great job with not only working my dog, but trying to keep me relaxed.

As far as fun stuff with my dogs, I determine what we get to go do depending on my schedule, I can't imagine having a coach to answer to.  Maybe I need a tracking coach to answer to, telling me to get my lazy butt out of bed and track me dog....

Not sure if that is what you are looking for, but my dogs are not sent to anyone, I am the handler and trainer, however could never do it without the help of my club members ~Kari
