my new girl, zjangles vom kraftwerk, should be going into heat around late october to early november. i pretty much made up my mind on eick v.d. berger hochburg, but he will be leaving for europe after nationals. so now i am back to square one. i need some stud suggestions for this girl based on compatibility with her pedigree. physically she is a good sized female with good nerves and drives. easy to work with and gets serious when she needs to. so i am looking to build more drive in the pups for competition. i am looking for a stud that is SG or V rated in structure with good bites and good nerve. i like mrs strohls dog "T", but he is a good hike from me. i would prefer a proven stud with progency getting titled or hold a lot of promise. i am located in tn, so prefer to stay within a days drive or so. thanks for any help.

she was prelimed good. i am taking her in two weeks for her final OFA. i see no problem with her that will hold her from at least getting a normal. i like eros, but does he have anything proven yet? to fast enzo was one i looked at. her female line and sireline both have crossed well with yoschy.

A good dog is always worth a hike. I went 14 hours each way, twice, for the last dog I used.

Without checking into lines, just availability of dogs, these come to mind:

- Verdi von Karthago in OK

- Wanko vom Kösters Eck in SC

- Alex vom Eisenhaus in VA

I have several excellent titled stud dogs available - take a look at my stud dog lineup and you can take your choice of bloodlines - located in PA, CT, Maine.    http://www.workinggermanshepherd.com/dogs.htm  All very strong, excellent working lines, super temperaments, very strong, solid nerve and healthy.

Here's a frank opinion: WAIT.

Wait for the OFA, and wait until she gets through SchH 1.  You MAY be right in your assessment of her drives now, but you will know a whole lot more later.  Your username suggests you are young (and impatient?).

That said, you don't mean you'd pass up a chance to 5-5 on Umsa Bungalow because of the drive, do you?

This is a very hot breeding when your female is ready.  T can improve conformation and create some social pups for all those pet homes you will be dealing with, especially if you breed your girl now.

Eichenluft is also very good.

Good luck.

thanks for the suggestions. i like dean calderons dog verdi a lot. if i can stay in ok,tx,ar,al,ky,il,in,ky,la,ga,sc,nc,va,wv, pretty much under 700 or 800 miles would be great. also rob dunns dogs are all great. tried sweet talkin marlene into letting me breed to zidane, but i guess it didnt work.
