I am looking to see if the price matches the dog.
Sex: Female
Age: 6.5
Titles SVV1
Hips: ?
Lines - Astor vom Waldidyll, Cordon An-Sat, Fago Nemo
Dog has good drives and is very happy and friendly. Dog has not been worked in years and is very over weight.
I personaly have liked the dog and pedigree for a while and she has now came available. If I decided to get her this would be her last home and I would start her on a weight lose program.
Would you pay over 3K for her?
I have never bought a title dog ever so I am at a lost.
Thanks

Sorry I don't have a picture of her and if I did take one of her now it would not do her justice.
Power Haus so what would you pay or would sell her at if she was your dog?

EK,
I have been looking at some females that are about that age and have found some REALLY nice ones for aroud 2K. Since the bitch you are looking at is fat and out of shape it will take some work to get her into good condition for breeding also, I consider that a strike against the dog. IMHO, fat and out of shape bitches have a more difficult time with delivery making them more prone to either loosing puppies from slow birth process or more prone to c-section.

There's a few questions I would ask first. How many litters has she had and how many pups in a litter? Any c-sections or troubles mothering? Testicles all descend? Any of her offspring doing anything?
At her age, if she's a good mother and good producer, not over $2000.

I know of two litters here in the US and one over seas. From what I know she is a easy keeper and a execellent mother. She was just bred and did not take. I think she had 9 each time ? As for Offspring I think they are in pet homes and some working.
Yes, getting her back in shape will be a chore in it's self as it has to go slowly. Something her and I can work on together :)
As for breeding not in her condition. It would have to be down the road and only after the vet gave a clean bill and OK . Would like to have at least one litter before I spayed her.

She should only be 3 thousand or more if she is younger, and a proven producer.

No, I have to side with the majority here; I can't see where an overweight 6 1/2yr old female who didn't take with her last breeding is worth $2000+, even if from a nice kennel.
If you consider, you're going to have alot of $ and time invested into this dog just to make it potentially breed-worthy for one litter. And even then, you either may or may NOT get anything when you breed her (remember-you yourself just said she was bred but didn't take-why not?). Did the vet check her out and explain why she didn't produce anything and do a brusc test to make sure she was clean?
Are you ok with the possibility you might be forking out $XXXX for a bitch you may never see anything from? Just things to consider. Why are you so attracted to this older female, anyhow? Not a critique-just curious. :o)
