Do dogs imported to the US from Belgium have a tattoo in their ear like dogs from Germany? Thanks!

Mine did. She passed away but I will never forget her. Her number was BHBLNX.

They are supposed to have one. It will be letters instead of numbers in all the Belgium dogs I've seen. Veronica

Ok....supposed to have a Belgium dog here...can't find the tattoo. Right ear? What color ink? Is it likely to be severely faded on a 4 year old?

Yena's tat was in her right ear and was green ink. I could still clearly read hers till the day she passed away.

If the tattoo was not done properly it could have faded but it should not of. Is there a tattoo on any of your dogs Pedigree Documents or Vet Records? Is the dog microchipped instead?

Molly's is in green ink - in the right ear. Very visible at 2 years of age.
