I found this statement interesting...

Recently, I started working with a new client, and they were treating their dog like a min. human.

I told them that they were wrong to do that, because dogs do not think/reason like we do, and afterall----we love dogs because they are dogs.....shouldn't we treat them like dogs?

Which brings to mind.....if everyone treated everyone else like a much beloved dog, wouldn't this world be a better place?

Waxing philosophical after a beautiful day of diving and lobstering in south Florida....

The problem with that philosophy, while a nice one, is that I don't want people licking my face after I am nice to them.

Hi TheDogTrainer;

I just had friends return from a successful trip to Key Largo for diving and lobsters - wish I could have been there, too!

Mi GSD....

Giggling....what if they stuck their nose in your crotch?  Grinning wickedly....

I have to laugh about that too.  As I explain to people about dogs, I explain doggie greeting behaviors----and how, while it is perfectly normal for a dog to sniff your butt and lick you in the face, your wife might deck me if I do that to you.......

Off to eat....diving makes me hungry!  And, believe it or not, while I like to catch them, I don't eat lobster....

Yes, My mini season was successful as well.  Caught my limit both days!  The water was beautiful.....I was sitting at the bottom in about 100ft of water, and could see the top of my flag on the surface.

For those who don't know, diving can be very theraputic, and my DR actually recommends it.  While insurance doesn't pay for it.....someday maybe I will get to use it as a tax write off!

I have MS(relapsing-remitting, IE, I have the "good" kind).  My Neurologist puts his MS patients in a hyperbaric chamber, and is having good results....I just go diving;)  He is also one of the foremost Diving Dr.s out there.

Are you kidding?? I wonder what it would cost? I love seafood. I am from Mass. originally and here in Montana the seafood is only so-so.

Nope, not kidding.  I have 4 tails in the freezer that I caught on Thursday.  Dry ice isn't too expensive.  Overnight shipping?  I don't know.  My zip code is: 33441, look it up.

I think I could get into the whole leash, collar, protective gear, and cracking the whip thing based on your "person as dog" paradigm.   Brings a whole new face to Schutzhund training!
