my gsd girl seems skinnier than usual lately and i noticed both her and fluffy dining on cat poop left by neighbors' and stray cats in the yard. i plan to worm both dogs asap. do you recommend any particular brand and how often should i repeat worming? vet wormed her as a pup when she was in for puppy shots but not at her annual visit after one year old. i am not sure if she has worms but think it's good to give her wormer anyway, just to be safe. i was also wondering if there is a weight gainer for dogs. the vet keeps telling me she is fine but i am so sick of the "isn't she kind of skinny?" comments all the time. she was 60# at her annual and is 21 inches at the shoulder. vet says she will fill out when she gets older. should i just wait and see or is there a supplement i can give her to make her bulk up some? thanx.

I have my dogs on Heartgard which also covers regular worming on a monthly basis.  Is she on heartworm preventative?

If you don't worry about heartworm in your area, then I would go with a dose of Drontal.  It'll take care of everything including tapeworm.

Her weight is fine for her size.  They all look sort of lean and leggy at one year of age and she'll start to fill out.

I would take a stool sample to the vet so you know for sure.
