I hear they now have these great things called vets that can help you with your question.

Hi Samba, Prior to the breeding did you get a Canine Brucellosis test done on your female? A long with canine herpes test? What was her progesterone level weekly before giving birth? Did you took her dead puppies to get a full necropsy done? That's the best way to determine the cause of death of the puppies.

Every female is different, some go 56- 64 days. It really sounds like you need to take her and the dead pups to a Vet to be sure your female doesnt have Herpes or something that caused them all to die.
I am really sorry this happened to you, but please take her and the pups to the Vet at once, or the remaining ones may die also.

Hm.
Was she wormed when she was in heat to make sure she would have a parasite-free pregnancy?
Was she subjected to any trauma during pregnancy?
Was she perhaps exposed to any harsh chemicals or pesticides during pregnancy (like the state spraying by the sides of the road)?
Was the sire healthy and a good representation of the breed? Was he brusc-free prior to you breeding your girl with him? Should have the results of such for him in your possession also, provided by the stud owner. If you didn't require this, then its hard to tell what you may have opened yourself and your girl up to.
Has she ever had a litter before? Do you know how she did with past litter experience (check under the kennel club registration she's with, if you think the person you bought her from might not be telling you everything)? Some nice females just aren't ideal mothers, unfortunately. They sometimes have physical defects internally which makes it hard for them to carry litters to term.
If the female was bought already bred, then its hard to say what she was subjected to during pregnancy before she came into your possession. If she had recently been imported from another country, was she thoroughly checked out by a vet in your home country and started on heartworm medication if applicable?
Without having a vet check her out and do an autopsy on one of your puppies, all we can do is guess at best. It could be a world of things that happened, including just a crappy fluke (some genes just don't pair up reasonably with others); maybe the sire and dam weren't a good pair-up genetically-it happens, but not very common. How are the puppies you still have doing-do they seem to be alright, or do they have problems also?
I'm sorry to hear about your situation and I hope your remaining pups are ok and that all works out. I also hope you get to the bottom of it and get it figured out what happened.
