Over the last month or so while using the vinager and water rotating with the bio groom I always play with her for awhile. I had noticed after she had quit shaking her head and started playing that sometimes I could see where some gunk came out of her ear, I then re-treated her ears and let her shake out again. This seems to help clear out the infection better; does anyone else do this? I had always in the past just cleaned out once at a time.
I keep her playing so she hardly even pays attention to the cleaning.

Desert Ranger, If there is a lot of Gunk..a dog cant shake it out.I dont have the problem that you have in ears. No product on the market will take that gunk out if it is constantly re-occurring.If it is continual yeast..thats a problem. PM me

I am refering to when I first started cleaning daily that the gook came out as the cleaner loosened it . I then cleaned again to make sure I got it all is my point. Now the gook is clear but I keep cleaning daily anyway.

For ear infections in the future Try This.It definately worked for me.After two ear infections in one of my females and 160.00 a trip to the vet for exam and medication each time I started reserach the net for alternative answers for ear infections.I came across some breeders who suggested Pau d'Arco. It's a liquid herb concentrate the can be found at any herb shop. It's also claimed to be a cancer cure. You mix this 50/50 with mineral oil and administer(I used a dropper) 3-4 drops in the ear canal 2-3 times every other day and .the day in between you flush(I use a spray bottle)with vinaegar and water. This loosens up the bacteria and other gunk for the dog to shake out and then you clean with q-tips.This also takes care of any redness and inflamatory areas in the ear. It's also called sometimes a Miracle drug.Don't know about that but it sure wiped out my ear infections. With the Pau d'Arco and mineral oil it cost me about 12.00,and she hasn'r had an ear infection for over a year.Try it!.That liquid ear cleanser that vets sell for a hefty price is nothing but Vineagar and water with some alcahol added.

Pau d' Arco is also a Natural Antibioctic with an inflamatory fighting agent.I've also used it on hotspots. This is for Topical application.
