What day of the cycle would you say your female is most receptive. I know there is an average. My female was most receptive around day 12-16. I know all females are different, I'm just trying to see if anyone has an unusual females who accept really late or really early and to see what the average is.
Thanks

Two of my females are in standing heat starting day 19. Coincidentally, they are half sisters. Their mother was receptive starting somewhere around day 15-16.

This is less than two cents worth, as we've never bred to know for sure, but my young female has had 3 heat cycles and "stands" for my neutered male every time starting on day 10.

From the first day of bleeding she starts to stand between 7 - 12 days and will stand about 9 days. From date of first standing she is "actually" ready about day 4-6. She has had 2 litters as of right now and I hope she carries a third.
She is a dominate female and loves to flirt by teasing him and makig him chase her, fighting, mounting the male and then going under the male and making what looks like an X. The harder he plays the better....she likes it rough.

We had a female airedale accepting the male for about 2 weeks!! One time we did 2 bredding on day 14 and 16 and everything went fine. One week later my male GSD started whine and became completely crazy (he only went crazy when they were ready)..we bred her two more times and it's those two days that have worked!
The best is to have a male that is not interested at the beginning but really shows you sign when she has ovulated..cause if you base yourse lf that the female is receptive can be very deceptive!

My female ovulates as late as day 19.

I bred a female on once day 21, and she whelped 11 puppies 57 days later. She didn't even become recessive till that day for a male. she would tear a male up, but on day 21 was standing and totally receptive.

My current female and her mother always bred on days 12-16 and had litters of 6-8.
We were unable to get one of my previous females bred after trying a couple heats, even did AI and progesterone testing. Finally we just listened to her. We put her with male every other day starting at day 5. FINALLY on day 27, 28, 29 she bred naturally and willingly. She had 8 puppies. I had noticed her heats always seemed to last forever, she seemed to always "start going out" around day 18 and the male would loose interest, then around days 21-22 she would come back in and the male would become more and more interested until finally she was ready to be bred on day 27.
Her daughter is more normal with heats/breeding.

I also have a female that is not receptive until day 29 - 30, her heats usually last about 42 days even longer some times.
I believe she has split cycles.
