How do you keep your kennel dogs cool?  What type of kennel/bedding/ or whatever do you use?

Take either 2 liter Soda Bottle or milk jugs and fill with water then freeze....  set the ice blocks in the kennels and the dogs can lay up around them.  I do this for the dogs and my chickens as well. All seem to apppreciate it!!!

I use misters from walmart hooked to the end of a garden hose on the outside of their runs, and the inside has a swamp cooler.  Our days sometimes reach 110f and my dogs barely pant.  They also have 2 wading pools.  (kiddy pools from walmart.)

I rarely kennel my dogs..They have their kiddie pools. When it is very hot I rinse them down with a hose. They have access to concrete kennels..and I put the water on the concrete..It retends(sp) coolness. The rest of the time..They are in AC with me.I have 3 GSDS.

I just bought a freestanding A/C & Heater!  It is the shitzzzzz!!!!  But, I am just getting my new kennel building equipped!  I had to wait soooooo long because we had so much rain that the builder could not move it!

PowerHouse which one you got?

Did you try using it already? How is it made?

Big box fans really help - keeping the air moving does a lot.

Tex,

My dog's have shade, very important.  And they love a dirt hole, of course I'm not in Texas.

Water in any form is great, a kiddy pool or even a lawn sprinkler.   You can purchase mist head's for a hose also.

Brent.
