yet another injury....

My eye now looks like i have been 2 rounds with Mike Tyson thanks to my girl peppa headbutting me AGAIN.

so far i have had my arm broken in 2 places, a fractured ankle, a bruised bum, rope burn from a nylon long line, countless split lips and nose bleeds, and now to top it all off i found the remains of  my best shoes in her bed .....NOT happy.  i have 4 dogs at the moment and its always the girls that hurt me.....i don't think they like me much.

what is your list...lol...go on make me feel better.

butter wouldn't melt eh

How about 4 nice deep puncture wounds last week when I was handling a dog in bitework and he decided to go for my leg instead. Nasty bruising, still pretty swollen.  Cut open my arm once teaching obstacle work trying to catch my numbnuts dog when he thought he was done and jumped off a high balance beam, gouged up my leg once ring training when I walked clear into a blind, still have scars from both of those....went flat on my back after a tracking line caught my ankle...a couple mild concussions... many bites to my hands and arms. The occupational hazards of being a "dog person". I also literally pierced my own nose with a nice rusty old S-hook when I unlatched a kennel, the hook slipped from my hand, and the guillotine door slammed down, sending the hook flying up and clean through my right nostril. Good times.

I've taken the nails down the arm(especially when the dog is in that 'hug' embrace thing so they're gripping with the front legs as well as carving channels down my forearm-even trimmed nails can hurt), gotten nipped on the soft tender side of the back of my arm (GOSH, does that smart and bruise up something terrible when it happens-I have only one dog who does that to me when she's very happy and excited), and the worst was an unexpected paw to the face earlier this year with freshly cut nails of my full working line girl-I will forever wear that scar on the side of my nose. Almost needed stitches for that last one, but thankfully I got it to stop bleeding.
Yes, they've gotten hubby's deck shoes(leather) out where he's left them on the back deck and tore them into smitherines by the time I realise it. I ask him not to leave such stuff out, but eh...you know how that goes.
My one girl once found our son's dirty underwear (I warned him to put them in the dirty clothes when he gets a bath-he had a bad habit of pitching his clothes in that general direction then not picking them up and putting them IN the basket), carry them into the hallway, then rip them to shreds. Guess she's trying to reinterate what I was telling him because she didn't find them appealing, either-I found that quite hilarious, although our son didn't.

Oh, I forgot my daughter's puppy completely destroyed my favorite boots about 2 weeks ago. I was not happy. She did it so silently I did not even hear her take it from around the corner. By the time I heard a suspicious munching sound she was already through the heel.

My dog wound for this week:  my pregnant girl decided to snap at my boy and she got the top of my hand in the process--of course I am sitting here inbetween them................it swelled up pretty good and the joints in my hand still hurt like hell.  Last dog injury was when I had my boy on a long line and he decided to take off to worry the neioghbors' dogs--thought I broke my wrist but after days of intense icepacks, bruising and pain pills I got through that one OK.  Gotta love those high drive dogs..............
