Just curious how much exercise is too much for a 8 month old puppy? Today I played fetch with Drago twice, 10 minutes at a time, very long distances each time, and then tonight we walked about four miles. He didn't seem tired at all, and I don't think he would mind walking even more. How do you know how much is too much though, for a dog of his age?

I think, that is enough for a young dog. There are dogs, which become not tired and want more to play, walk and run. But that is not good in this age for the development of the chords, cartilages and bones. 3 miles to walk go… and perhaps calm training in the subordination for 10 minutes daily. Subordination training and learning makes the dog tired.

Be careful playing fetch with your puppy you do not want too many tight turns as this can be detrimental on the hips. Whilst exercise is good you do not want too many rapid changes in direction. In much the same way you do not want to encourage them to run up and down stairs too much.
