Just wondering what feedback is on someone who likes going to the club but people bite on the show dog. It is rather discouraging and insulting.

Are you saying you joined a club or are visiting a club that hates show line dogs and you have a show line dog? Well, all I can say is what are you doing asking us? If you are uncomfortable in a club, for any reason, find another group that you feel good about being with. Yes, there are some people who are narrow minded for one reason or another, be it about bloodlines, or whatever. So what? Just move on. No, they don't help the situation in my mind and I too got a similar reception years ago with a show line male, but I found a way to work around it.
Good luck.

Everyone has an opionon.. not all are worth listing to.
If the dog is doing the work and you are enjoying it continue to do what you enjoy. Are the people at the club helpful? Are they experienced themselves and sharing their knowledge?
remember everyone has some degree of kennel blindness. That is natural but try to be honest with yourself.
I know that when I first started i had several people slam me, slam my dog. etc. With time these people fell by the wayside and haven't achied the number or level of titles that I have with the very dog they insulted. (not that i'm a great trainer I'm not)
Try to get a balance of where you get the most help and you are the happiest. If there are a few people at the new club that help you and your dog and there is some silver lining in iit join the club with time the crittics will fall by the wayside. If everyone is insulting there are propbaly other clubs that you may fit in with better and be happier
Best of luck

No But what would be funny is if you could get a hold of half of their pedigrees ,,,they all probably have the old West German showline , great dogs in their pedigrees......shows some ignorance ..Move on to other clubs.

Nope. I've heard too many horror stories of dogs being thoroughly messed up because the club, and agitator in particular did not like a dogs line/breeder/parents/importer/whatever. Training on any level should be about enjoying the bond between a working dog and its handler, not ego, politics, money and attitude. Like YR said...move on.

If the whole club hates show dogs, then no. It's not the place to be if you have a showline dog. If I were learning and the trainer/helper were good and my dog and I were developing as a team, but there were a few nasty people, then I might stay until I had learned what I felt I could. If the dissing of my dog were done by everyone or happened all the time making our presence there unpleasant, I'd get out of there quick.
You won't learn much and your dog might learn something negative if you are not in a good situation. Your dog will react to your emotions if you have any bond at all, so don't put yourselves into bad situations. Find another club or try a different dog sport.

Ours is a DVG club and we have many breeds represented, some good natured kidding but if a dog and handler tries, they are welcomed and helped out.

Only if my dog could work and prove that they are still working showlines out there. But, I have a nice working line, so i'm fine. hahah.

I don't know if I would join a club that hates showlines. I would be very careful especially if the helper hates them too as he/she could destroy a good dog.
I have run into the snobbiness of some clubs as many of us have. I can think of at least one occasion where my dog worked first, impressed the club with how he worked, and then I mentioned he was showline. Because of his work they didn't know and after that it was all good.
