Serena and I thank you for taking the time to answer my questions!  I am greatful for your responses.  You are both correct and I am taking your advice.  As for Katie my older dog, we have introduced them on leash, Katie just blows off the pup and corrects her if she gets in her face. Serena the pup then has more control but still wants to interact w/Katie.  Katie is a very dominant female, she even lifts her leg to pee!  I know this will be an issue, thankfully my house is set up so that no one is isolated and I hate to admit this but Katie sleeps w/me.  Katie has never been an only dog and when she lost her daughter I noticed her stools had become very soft and she had also lost that spark.  I did breed Katie once!  I had her hips and elbows done.  Her hips were good and elbows excellent, my vet said he had never seen elbows like hers.  I bred her to pink papered import, kore 1 rated, Sch1 and tracking. excuse my spelling that was 9 yrs ago.  Katie escaped from the breeder, she was lost for 6 days!  What a nightmate, I was there everyday laying tracks for her to keep her in the area, I hired spotting planes and tracking dogs.  When I got her back, she had blishtered paws and her eyes looked like basset eyes, but she gained three pounds! Katie had 9 pups, 3 w/epilepsy, I spayed Katie and her pup Vida.  All pups, the sire and dam had to be DNA tested. All pups went to pet homes w/limited reg.  Never Again.
