The Video shows a nice home. Surely there was an unoccupied bedroom they could have put the dogs in.

The dogs did start out crated and broke out of them. Obviously stronger crates were needed but the dogs had not been left loose. At least they made a minimum effort. Poor kids................
Geesh, even my girlie GSD's are in Owens diamond plate crates in the house. Two managed to get out of their plastic crates one day when I was right there, that day I switched crates to something there is no way they can break out of. And I don't have kids that could accidently get in the middle of any dog fight.

A couple here let there small children ride an ATV and a five year old was injured, they were charged with wanton endangerment.
