You all that are having Fly problems. - Page 1

I have a terrible fly problem and its seasonal. Now is off season.

Is what u r promoting safe. Anything that poisons anything can be bad for the dogs too. Some dogs tend to eat the dead flys.

OMG thank you so much! With the temp in the hundreds here the fly's are off the hook right now. Spraying my garbage cans and a few other places on my pproperty would help allot.

Have you checked into the Bio recommendation of the Predatory Fly?

I use fly predators from Spalding, I think they make a huge difference.

I have used Golden Malrin but its dangerous to all animal's including bird's.   Fly tape's and pad's are safe and cheap and you can make the pad's yourself.    A bit messy but safe if that sort of thing is important to you.

Golden Malrin in a gallon fly-trap bottle hung well away from the dogs/kennels works pretty well. Farnam Flies Off works okay, but can scurf the hair off ears.

How do you make the pads Brent?

As safe as can be! We put them on the trash can lids, c-perlins in the barn,lay them in rain gutters when they are dry etc. It kills then when they simply land near it! This stuff rules!

This thread was a God sent. lol  I thought I was the only one going out of my mind with flies this summer.  I don't ever remember it being this bad and I couldn't figure out for the life of me where the hell they were all coming from.  I keep the kennels clean, no mess in the yard, garbage cans have lids on....but the flies were just driving us all crazy.  I'm gonna try some of these things right away cause I just can't stand it anymore.
