Sable pup. Colour change with age? - Page 1

I have a 10 week old sable pup. Does the sable get darker or lighter with age. If so at what age can you tell what colour it will be as an adult?

Oki from my experiance when you get tham they dark, than they turn yellowish than they really darken again and finaly around 2 years you have the final result :). My darkens in summer and is lighter in winter I was always sure that it should be the other way around lol. (BTW it will vary from dog to dog)

This is one of many reasons why I love the sables, they change colors right before your eyes.

The changing colors is just too much I love sables I will never go with any other color of GSD.
