blair built gsd

by blair built gsd on 09 July 2008 - 05:07

Wow!  It seems like there are a lot of you quick to take up for these money lovers.  Now I understand that there are plenty of people involved with gsd for the right reasons, but it's starting to look like we are the minority.  Thank God there are some of us who love German Shepherds and what we do more than money.  If it was possible, I would do what I do for free.  It seems to me that a lot of you so-called experts should stick to your day jobs.  There is no place in this for con-artists and scammers trying to make a living off of other people's hard work and love for the breed.  A lot of you should take a look at some of the people who have been involved with the breed for generations, not a few years.  Stop being so bull headed to think there is nothing to learn, only money to be made. Do you want to better the breed or just your bank accounts?

What the hell are you talking about, woman????   If you look on the bottle there is a label and it will say something like "may refill 1x". Just take it to the pharmacist and he'll help ya out, hun.

Honey, if I was in this for the money then I'd have a nice fat bank account and would have a mercedes!! In the words of the wise and often hilarious Dr Phil, nothing like knowing when a good dose of "shutting up" is in order... you are way over due...

I say this thread is done!! and so are you.....

I always thought people saying they were going to ''better the breed'' was a little lofty.. the best breeders strive to maintain the integrity of the breed not ''better it'' and people who go and buy puppies out of parents without even OFA clearences and then plan to breed them are not helping they are only contributing to the problem

You know i guess i get a little tired of the bashing going on here. Okay the originator of this thread made a observation, thats there perogitive and there are alot of scoundrels in this venture as in any venture under the sun we all know this to be true. I don,t know the Blair Built Gsd from adam but that is there opinion maybe a few words of support or wisdom might help here but no immedatley it,s Bash,Crash,Mash... maybe it,s human nature maybe we can,t help our selfs maybe since we don,t have to set down eye to eye with one another it,s easier for the spineless to pop off I don,t know, but again there are lots of peole out there who are soley in this for $$$$$$$$$$$  this is true.

Blair Bulit Gsd do the best you can when you can and keep the breed in mind.

breeding dogs properly is costly, time consuming and filled with stress and heartache especially in a breed with the high rate of dysplasia GSDs have .I don't know anyone who is in it for the money ,the ones who are quickly learn there are easier ways to make money

 panzertoo:

I agree whole heartedly those that take the time title there dogs and jump thru the hoops are doing it right, but you must admit that you can pick up any news paper claissified section and find people breeding dogs with 0 knowledge or fore thought and there first impulse is we can make some money, look at any pet store more cute little puppies mean more $$$$$$$. And there are several that post here that are probavly more concerned about there bath water then the breed but continue to make puppies on a regular basis.

Hi Bob.......yes I agree but are they really making any money?? by the time you factor in the time and expenses and they sell them for 600 dollars they are probably making the equvilant of a minimum wage job. it would be less work digging ditches!.....I blame the idiots who buy from pet strores and backyards breeders more so than anyone they are the ones keeping them in business
