Hello everyone.  Please be advised that a user, information below, posted my puppy picture in two classified ads.  I know it is my picture and can prove this.  I am in no way involved or even know this person and did not give them my permission to use this picture.  The ad is for 10 week old puppies and this is a photo of a 7 week old female.  I have already informed Oli of the situation.  My name is Lora Vissering with Von Vissering Kennels.  Any information on this user would be appreciated.

Lora-sorry to hear that. But, things happen rather frequently around here like that.

I had someone come on here last year and claim to be the breeder of a litter I produced. I was tipped off by a third party and came here to see for myself; sure enough, I found it. Talk about shocked and upset-I was! That was my crash-course introduction to the messageboard here.

I also had this same person advertise one of my male puppies on here for over twice my asking price.

So yeah, crap happens here. Hope you can get it worked out.

One of the only ways you can protect your pictures is to put your name or Kennel name on them like a water mark.

I think this is common on all internet sites where dogs are offered for sale.

Thanks Vickie, I will have to start doing that.

But, no matter what, COMMON does not make it RIGHT!  I will not just let it slide, I wont be over obssessive about it, but I want people to know who did it so they can BEWARE!   If and when I find out more information on the individual/kennel, it will be posted.

Thanks for your comments everyone.

mandynivklove@aol.co.uk is their email address; doesn't this indicate someone from the UK or something? I don't think they're in the US with an email ending like that.

I do understand you feeling violated and being upset, Lora. I don't blame you. No one has the right to use your stuff without your ok, whether it be using a pic, or offering a pup for sale that's yours, etc. Believe me, the person who pulled the stunts I've mentioned above didn't walk away scott-free, either.

Water mark is the best way to get over this at least put yr name on the photo.

Just to make a comment, just few hours ago there was a new foundland advert placed from india. The location didnt look indian origin.
