I bought a Puppie that has both very good looking parents, he is now 4 months old. His nose and muzzle part is very long, not like his parents, my question is: will this change as he grows? or will it stay long? thank you, and if anyone knows please answer me.

If we knew his pedigree, it would be easier to say. Some Showlines and some DDR lines have shorter muzzles. It can be quite attractive if combined with a large broad head. Veronica

It's also a matter of degrees, too. If you are used to looking at lines with the really short broad muzzles it will make the longer muzzles seem inordinately long.
I've noticed most American lines tend to have very feminine heads that make the muzzle seem longer than it actually is. Would you mind posting a pic? That would help.

The muzzle will grow faster than the lower mandible-that is always playing catch-up until the puppy is grown. As others here have said; it also depends on the breed lines as well. The Ambred show-lines tend to have a slender and longer (in proportion) muzzle than the West-German show-line dogs, and they also have plenty of room for their teeth.
That is the one (1) drawback to the shorter muzzle of some breedlines, as it can cause the teeth to be very crowded. But, I am talking about extreme cases here.
Best Regards,

I don't think the muzzle looks unlike the dam's, personally. The sire's is shorter but not extremely so. I agree, nice looking pup. Remember you don't have a "finished product" yet. He'll be gangly and disporportionate (sp?) for quite a while. I like the closeup shot in profile.

I have a puppy that is 5 months now, his father is Dux de Cuatro Flores (in your dog's bloodlines, hence the mention) his head was similar, long and narrow at 4 months, in the past month it has definatly broadened, ... I do expect it to continue as the rest of his body is very much in keeping with Dux ...
Nice puppy! congrats!

As your puppy's adult teeth come in, his muzzle will start to appear longer than it will when he is an adult. When he becomes an adult and is 1 year to 1.5 years, his skull will grow broader and larger and the muzzle will then appear to be more in proportion.
