Please begin posting the IP#'s. Its not 100% foolproof, but certainly discloses a lot. Of course AOL users will have different IP#'s each time they reboot. At different times AOL users may share the same number, but not on the same thread, on the same day lol (like some have done). I can prove it, if the IP's are shown.   Below are a couple of links that run IP#'s.

http://www.ip-adress.com/

When I had all the land from Hi Way 50 near Holly, Colorado to Hi Way 96 at Horace, Kansas, my IP# was 198.68.172.100. Abhay's,  Capt. Mike, any other handle I have used, as well as my wife's handle will have that IP#, up until 2 weeks ago, when we moved.

The last time the IP's were posted, it was very easy to see, who was doing what.  It adds to the drama, and is quite interesting, comical, and very entertaining.

You can find anonamous servers all over the world to log onto and thats what will appear as the ISP number.   Its not the best way to track anyone.   Its not going to hurt anything but I can already see the swell of disapproval from board members with an over active case of paranoia.   Just like the last request to remove a user's last name from a post.   Hell most of them have website's that give name's, phone number's and address's.  Some even have google map's to their kennel's.

Someone wanting to mess with you who has a little internet savy would have no problem logging on with a different IP # every time.   Maybe posting them would not be such a bad idea but try to sell that to some of the member's.

I know where your coming from abhay....:)    Sorry for your trouble's, hope it works out .

I don't know how to use an anonymous server, and neither will 99% of the other posters. The last time Oli put up the IP's, I saw many interesting facts. It wasn't from anonymous IP's either.

AYE !

The cats out of the bag now...LOL

Now if everyone would come out of the dark recess's they cling too the whole world would be a brighter place.

I say put the number's up !!   Stand up and be recognized.

Lest ye have something to hide.

Me.

Welcome back, Cap'n! How are the new digs working out?

by Abhay on 02 July 2008 - 18:07

Vickie, I'm very sorry. Do you ever hear anything from that gorgeous Asko lad?

Sunsilver, I have to tell you hun, moving is as close to a tragic, near death experience as I ever want to come. I would rather face a firing squad than move. We, and our animals are trying to get settled at our new location. I never thought I `would ever have to move, but like they say, Never say Never.

Hope you all get settled soon, moving sucks and I don't want to think about it for a long time... But as you said, never say never. I have no problem with IP's being posted. I may log in from different computers but I only use one name everywhere I go.

I'm looking at moving myself. Just now checking ads on MLS. I have a dear friend in Sundridge, Ontario, where real estate prices are less than half what they are here. Most houses have large lots, too, of close to half an acre. Lots of room for the doggies, lake at my doorstep, clean air, etc. etc.

Yes, moving sucks, but with good friends in the area to ease the transition, I'm hoping it won't be too traumatic.

Another advantage to having someone who knows the town: I've already eliminated one house because my friend knows the next door neighbour is scared to death of dogs, even her collie/lab mix!

I wish you and the missus and the dogs the best as you try to settle in.

Why bother Oli with it..IT will only cause arguments and false assumptions like the last time..Its a useless tactic and tells nothing...last time people were posting who they thought  DO Right was and accusing everyone of being who they were not...

If you want to know who someone is  there are five links on our database in the ad section to join and look up someones Ip and find out who they are...have at it...
