Shipping on this dog might be dicey, at best, due to heat embargos.
Simpliest solution: Find the nearest airport, book a day trip---down and back same day, and fly the dog back as extra baggage.
That simple. Cheaper, you know where the dog is at all times, etc...Flights are running around 220.00 round trip.
BUT PLEASE QUITE SNIPING AT EACH OTHER>

It would actually be cheaper to ship the dog Continental from Texas. They will ship year round (air conditioned facilities) and I've always been happy with the way they treat my dogs.

I would be willing to make a small donation being as I got involved in the mess. I'd like to see her get back home.

But, if Kentucky girl(Not paying a bit of attention to names, sorry) flys down there, she can have a release form for Texas girl to sign, waiving all rights to any further refund, INCLUDING AMEX, and hand Texas girl her money.
I would make the release saying something like:
I, Texas Girl, do hereby return to Kentucky Girl, One AKC Registered(insert name, AKC #, and tatoo/chip number) to Kentucky Girl for the sum of $$$$.$$. I agree to relinquish all AKC Paperwork, and other pertinant information on such dog as I have recieved. I acknowledge that said dog is intact and is being returned intact to Kentucky Girl. I assert that said dog is, to the best of my knowledge, in good health.(Texas Girl, I suggest getting a health certificate from a neutral 3rd party vet and giving it to Kentucky Girl)
I acknowledge that I forfiet any further right to any monies from Kentucky Girl. I acknowledge that I will not now, or at any time in the future or past seek a refund from AMEX, card number: ########################, Expiration Date: ####### Security Code: ####.
I agree that any further attempts to force money from Kentucky girl, beyond what has been agreed upon in this document will result in civil and possible criminal actions on the part of Kentucky Girl.
I further agree to hand over all medical documentation from any medical test/visits that were performed on said dog while in my care.
Kentucky Girl agrees to no longer pursue any compensation from Texas Girl regarding said dog.
Both parties agree to hold each other harmless from this date forward, and agree never to speak of this issue again to a 3rd party. (In otherword, let it go, and don't bad mouth each other. If someone asks you directly, no via a forum or public email list, then simply smile at them and tell them to do their research thoroughly)
Signed, and dated by both parties.
Just a thought.
