More exotic animals waiting for eventual dumping into humane society shelters!  Monkeys are not dogs, are not cared for like dogs and require highly specialized and educated rearing and training.  But if you've got the money....

And how did these baby monkeys get into the US anyway?  The ad says plural "monkeyS."  Are they covered under CITES? The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species?

They changed their ad.  Last week they were AKC registered.

If you check the ad, that phone number is NOT a U.S. number(+237)7729-7357)   I wonder what country it's from? (Goes off to search....)

Right Sunsilver, but I wonder why the ad says "United States"?  I reported the ad to APHIS.  Hopefully if the inspection service inquires, Oli would work with them on something like this.  This makes me very angry.

It's the area code for the Cameroons:  http://www.kropla.com/dialcode.htm

Don't touch this one with a ten foot pole! Glad you reported it, wanderer!

I may be wrong, but I seem to remember from my biology studies that capuchin monkeys come from SOUTH AMERICA, not Africa!

Edit: Yes, I was right!  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capuchin_monkey  (Thanks her physical anthropology professors, who required the class to memorize the entire primate family tree, including both Old World and New World monkeys and apes...)

I do believe this requires an investigation by international authoriites.  Maybe they have black rhino horn for sale too?

Yeah, There was one of those adds on Craigslist in the Free section too. I did email them for more info.

These were AKC registered also. They did email me back with a questionaire & wanted $300 for a baby.

I waited on returning it for a few days. Then I sent them an email saying that monkeys were very illegal here & that

I reported them to Fish & game here in MA.
