I just took my daughter out tracking with her 6 month old puppy for the first time and she did GREAT! The pup is a natural like her mom, but a touch slower and more methodical, where her mother was more of a bull. Just an ideal puppy for a junior handler. We did a few scent pads then about a 30-40 foot straight line, heavily baited. She hit each footstep perfectly. Next time we take her I may take some video, I want to chronicle my daughter's work with her so no one can ever doubt she was H.O.T. by a kid in junior high.
I'm so excited. What a great pair they are.

Excellent.
I remember years ago taking my kids out tracking!
Your daughter will never forget the times she has training with you!

How awesome, KC! It's wonderful to see young ones wanting to learn and be dedicated in our breed!
We've got our 12yr old son learning about grooming, stacking, and obedience training also. He enjoys it; has a good hand with the dogs and enjoys it. Here's a pic of our son with his pride and joy, a pup we produced, now just turning 18 mos old. They're excellent together and their bond is radiant.
