Howdy,

After a lot of work, and we are not all the way done, I am very happy with the results of our kennel project sofar. Only a few more things, like water & electricity, the fence around the property...... The kennels will be set up next week. If you guys think I brag,..... yup, you are right ! I can hardly wait till all is done !

So I want to share this with you, there are some pics in my Fotoalbum on my HP.

You all have a nice Sunday.

Kind Regards

Ulli Dresbach

Ulli, congratulations on the new kennel! I know how much work they are to build, and there is little that one can purchase that is perfect for the job. Everything has to be custom-sized, it seems. I have not built the new (and last) kennel yet, as I am waiting for housebuilding permits. But, once those are complete the first thing I will finish is the kennel building and the yard.

I am in the rural area and have no close neighbours, but still must protect the dogs. I agree that water and electricity are very nice to have at the kennel. This time it will be much easier, as the house is not yet built. At least this time I will not be in the yard with a pick and shovel digging a power and water trench that is 0,7 meters deep and 30 meters long.  This time it will be done with power equipment.

Best Regards,

Bob-O

Howdy,

thank you Tracy & Bob-O.

I tell you Bob, we moved down to the kennel area aproxmately 45 tons of material, and that all by shovel & wheelbarrel ! At a certain point I started dreaming about broken wheelbarrels, delaying the progress !!

And you are right, the trench for water pipe & electricity still has to be dug ....... hopefully I will be able to get one of those nice little bobcats in, to do the hard work for us. Then only the fence, I hired a company to do it for me, yikes, these stell prices are a killer; and then the landscaping and that should be it.

We are planning a Kennel Party once everything is done .... to the effect : Food in Kennel 1 - Cold beverages in Kennel 2 - Shots & ice cream in Kennel 3 !!!

Well, thanks again for your compliments.

Regards Ulli

Howdy,

thanks again for your compliments.

You bet Tracy, if you happen to be in Germany, you are most certainly wellcome !

For now I will take it step by step, as my back starts to kill me .

In about 14 days we will be in the US, and hopefully I will meet some of the PDB guys & girls. I am really looking forward to put some faces to the names.

Kind Regards  Ulli

Very beautiful Ulli! I look forward to visiting you in person one day. Tell me, did you have any problems or delays getting permission/permits from local gavernment for erecting a kennel?  As I recall, some friends of mine experienced many headaches over many years before they were allowed to build their kennel in the Heidelberg area.

Love the view and the attractive pathway from home to kennel. Congratulations!
