I am a big NHRA fan, and the death of Scott Kalita last week , brought fans together , with his Father, Coni Kalita at Norwalk , Ohio today , brought to light , how all sports have something in common.
Canidea Natural Foods sponsors a car in the Funny car qualifier , today , driven by Tony Bartone..As I write this, the top man is Hight, with Ron Capps in second place.
Tony Bartone is in 15th and is on the border of being out..Will not know until all over if he can stay in.
Top fuel is my favorite and Rod Fuller is number one qualifier.
Tony Schumaker was not able to hold on to the number one spot but tomorrow will be a different story..
There are four or five women , racing , including Ashley Force, John Forces daughter.
Two were DQ today and one was Gary Scelzi , a shock , and Melanie Troxel. Loose Ballast problems were the reasons...
On the hood of the Canidea Food car was a black German shepherd covering the front of hood...I was impressed..
Also the K & N Challenge is of course for big $50,000.00 for number one qualifier today..
All wore ribbons and medals on cars and shirts today and Coni was on the line , with the Kalita team as they go on with the sport that Scott loved so dearly..Many new safety rules and changes will be done , as a result of his tragic death last week... Had to share this , as Canidea was right out there representing a great driver..

Canidea Natural Foods car with Tony Bartone will run tonight at NHRA , He is number 13. Can be seen on channel Espn2 with on direct TV is 209
It is on right now in Ohio ...being televised after the fact.
