Looking for detailed training suggestions  for male Mink-Croc-Karthago line working puppy in areas of socialization and sch imprinting beginning  at 10 weeks following to 6 months.  Have good club and sch contacts  but am looking for specific puppy methods especially in the areas of socialization.  Would like to contact other high-drive puppy handlers to learn and share.

FInd SchH club and get that puppy out with a lot of people and trusted adult dogs.  There isn't any better socialization than a good SchH club in my opinion.  Most people at a good club won't so stupid things to your puppy and won't have dogs off leash running around which could cause problems to your puppy.

Good luck!

If the club and the contacts are good, that's where you will get the best advise, especially if this is your first high drive dog.  I would cultivate some good friends there!

Drive build (ask your trainer how) it never hurts.  I also would "label" desired behavior around the home like when my pup would voluntarily sit, down or out.  Come was a big one, always with lots of happiness and positive reward.  Never too young to get them to believe with you are the best place to be in the whole world.  Never get mad if they don't come right away (you let the pup get away from your control in the first place) which leads me to another, try not to let the pup make mistakes that you will get mad at. Get enthusiastic about play with tugs.  Socializing is a good idea without overwhelming the pup.  I think you got some great ideas on this thread.  Good luck.  Puppies are so much fun to train.
