A lot of ya'll are forever on me privately to go through some of my 1,000's of pix and commit them to digital memory so I can share them before I die of old age and some non-dog relative tosses the lot in the dumpster along with my long-since unfashionable wardrobe...
That in mind, and the rain forecast, and just being tired and sore from 10 straight hrs. of dog training yesterday, I have scanned a few dozen today. Unfortunately, I can't remember the names of everyone in the pix, nor the exact dates, events, etc.
Hope you enjoy my little trips down memory lane. Ha ha ha.
Seminar with Walter Kreipl. German Shepherd SchH Club, circa '88. L-R: Sandy Lane, ???, George, Walter, Coleen Gorgas, ??? Temperature: 100F+
Walter Kreipl
Herman with Andy vom Bildsdaule, just prior to winning the '88 USA DPO National Championship, Bowling Green, KY
Franz Gugnon and approx. 18 month old Nick Heilgenbusch training at Franz's club, 1995 or '96. Saarbruchen, Germany
Egon, Thomas, Martin Vollrath & Dean Calderon. USA Nationals, Washington DC, early 90's
Al Burns and V Delphi vom Haus Anja. Saratoga, CA (early-mid 90's) Al also imported V Blue Scipio and Boy Grawenhof, among other fine dogs.
Edgar Kaltenback, "at home" in Germany with two Fero puppies from his breeding. 1996?
1988 USA Northwest Regional Championship (or was it a Zone Trial?) L-R: Gary Park, Glenn Bennett with Buck von der Pfalz, a very YOUNG Thomas Vollrath, Egon Vollrath (is that Asko Lindenhalle?) Peggy Park, unindentified gu with rottie, Dean Caleron (with Alf Hamburger Michael?) Dorothy Fields, Helper Duffy Graham.

Mike Caputo, judging the event above. BTW: Only the SchH 3's are pictured above.
SV (retired) Leistung Judge Conrad Essert, who will have a special place in my heart forever for that 100 pt. tracking score he awarded Onyx and I the day I took this photo.
"The Chef" Helmut Raiser, preparing to conduct the morning-classroom portion of a seminar held by South County S.C., (was it '93?) Coyote, CA. This must've been the morning after we all danced all night in the pea-gravel to a live band Egon hired for the party. How can I tell? Helmut looks a little tired, definately sun-burned, and everybody else is LATE! My calves still ache when I remember dancing in the gravel...
Gary Park, myself, Peggy Park and Duffy Graham. 1992 USA North American Championship. Albequerque, NM.
Those of you who were at that North American might remember the "little get-together" I hosted at my RV between the last performance and the awards ceremony... That's John Oliver unloading a van-load of "refreshement beverages" to replenish my depleted supply. We grilled carne asada tacos on the hibatchi.
I'll let ya'll identify the guilty parties involved. LOL The list is long and distinguished...
I often wonder if the seriousness and sobriety we see at events today has really improved the sport. ;-O

GREAT PICTURES!!!
I do not know you and I only know who some of the people in these pictures are, but , nice pictures!!!
I, too, am concernd about how a lot of the people involved in this sport have forgotten how to smile and have a good time. I keep telling my friends that these are dogs and we are supposed to be enjoying them. I believe that a lot of people have forgotten that 98% of the time that we are not training or competing these are our pets. It looks like you had a lot of fun with your friends. Looking at the pictures, I wish I had been there!

Glad you like them. I only have about 2,000 -3,000 more left to scan. Ha ha ha.

Looking at those really makes me want a new pup. I have so, so much still to learn.

Wow Shelly! Those are some great pics, do you have any good ones of Fero himself?

I do have some neat informal pix of Fero. I just haven't come across them yet. I know I have a lot of stuff on plastic floppy discs I lost/loaned the hard prints for too, but no floppy disc reader these days. Here are a couple more of Jago to tide you over... NOBODY has time to go through my boxes and boxes of un-marked negatives...
