Some days you just want to kick yourself for defending or helping someone out on this board.

You'll notice that the one is the dog that everyone just gave her sound advice on.  He will make a great pet..not a show dog.

So scam and screw each other all ya want.  I'm keeping my lips zipped.

So, what is wrong with the dog?  My friend emailed about this dog......

Yes, please do tell, what is wrong with either of these dogs? I really have no idea what is going on here. Since when did it become a crime to sell dogs?? I always make it a point to do my best to find good homes for my dogs. I am by no means a dog broker or puppymill, just have a couple of dogs for sale right now....I just don't see what I have done wrong...

I can't say if the dogs are good or not but there was one post where she asked for a critique and it wasn't completely positive.

This is what is bothering me about Kristen (rocknranch)

"I am very attached to this dog, but had decided to cut back on some of my dogs, as I have two young dogs I am showing and trialing reguarly, which take up a huge amount of time, and I am planning to start back to school this fall, and time will be even more stretched."   Now these two dogs are up for sale.

I'm too tired to go through all the times she said she never sell Amelia again if she got her back.  Or how much she loved her dogs.    Two days ago she was sending one of these males to Jeff Rentz and she was all excited but a couple negative comments and goodbye he goes!

I've also had some other info passed on to me by other members but I'm not getting into who or what, even by PM.  Suffice to say, her and Windy deserve each other.

No, I will not ever again sell Amelia. She will live out her days here. I don't kennel my dogs...they live in the house, crated at night, and go out in the yard and on the farm with me during the day. My girls get along, so there is no problem with having multiple females. Having multiple males is another story. They can't come out together, so spend too much time (in my opinion) crated. I would rather see them go to homes where they will be worked and/or be part of the family, as the only male, and not have to share time with other males. I see people all the time on this board, many considered big names as breeders, trainers, competitors, brokers, etc, who buy and sell dogs like farmers do cattle, but no one gives them any heat. I list two dogs for sale and all of a sudden I'm a bad person. It's not like I'm trying to dump them, taking them to the pound, etc....both ads clearly say that they are only for sale to the right home, and I mean that! I would prefer to see each of them go into family pet homes, as that would be idea, to me, for most any dog, other than one who is extremely drivey and would only be happy in a working situation. I do not see how I have misrepresented either dog in any way. I just think that some on this board don't like to see dogs sold period, but sometimes, it can't be helped...sometimes, it's the right thing to do. Just because I made a mistake and tangled with a bad buyer, now I must be a bad person too. I have spent a small fortune to get that dog back, which is more than many breeders/trainers/etc, would do, many of whom have even openly admitted to that! To me, it was a small price to pay to get my dog back home safely. If the money was what mattered to me, why would I have done that? And why do I sell puppies for much lower prices to good, loving, long term pet homes for far lower prices, as opposed to selling them for big bucks on full registration to a breeder? I would rather give a puppy to a good home, than sell it to a lesser home! I honestly don't have the time or energy for this...I've got to feed puppies and get in bed...I'm getting up at 5 am to go tracking, and am not going to let this ruin my day.

Vianden:

Yes, I do still have her. She is a lot of fun to work. Always very happy, eager to please, and has intense focus. She is ball crazy and will do anything for it. She is also a tracking machine! I am taking her and two others out in the morning to track....now that we have our hayfields cuts, I can get a lot of tracking done at home, which is nice. Thanks for the compliment...you have some really nice looking dogs yourself! Do you have a website?

Life happens. Change happens. People have to sell dogs they wanted to keep (look at Naya's mom =( ) and then people change their minds and decide to keep them. Who really cares? The dogs look healthy and in good condition. Rockin at least works her dogs, which is more than can be said about a lot of board members.
