I have been sent this  site and on opening it have to admit I was more than shocked, I felt sick.

It is not as if I am not used to assisting in P.M>'s  but I would have committed murder if I had been present.

Please visit this and post to as many persons as you can.  But be prepared for  some terrible sites.

Support  the banning of this please. http://animalsaviors.org:.80/

I dont think such sites should be banned. its essential that people are aware so that they stop the trade. if the buying stops, so does the killing, then sites like these wouldnt be required.

by the way the website is wrong. shoud go as www.animalsaviors.org

Yet another reason for me to hate the Asians over there. I'm sorry if anyone is offended, but I am constantly getting affirmation for my hatred of that culture. For all it's beauty and history there are too many instances of horrible acts that are considered just fine and perfectly acceptable to those people. Google Bonsai Kitties, but don't expect to see cute picutres. Or the fact that some rich Japanese man bought and slaughtered 1984 Kentucky Derby winner Ferdinand because he wanted to eat a Kentucky Derby winner. Oh, and let's not forget the twisted practice of eating stillborn human babies either. People all over the world do horrible twisted things, but the number of incidents are much higher from the Asian countries.

Again, I'm sorry if I have offended anyone, this is just my PERSONAL opinion and there is NOTHING anyone can say that will ever change my mind. Just when I begin to think maybe I am being too harsh, something like this comes up and I am reminded as to why I harbor such deeply negative feelings for Asian countries and cultures. oh, and I do have friends who are of Asian descent, but they find these acts just as aborrent as I do and say that they know of even more horrible acts that are considered acceptable in Asian culture.

Now, for those about to attack me? Go right ahead and do your best/worst, but understand this, I straight up don't give a shit what anyone else thinks or says. My feelings on this are intensely powerful and cannot be swayed.

LOL I don't know where you get your information jodagirl but it's pretty off.

Bonsai kittens were a hoax cooked up by some college students.  Go to www.snopes.com and do a search on it.  Even on the website it never mentioned that it was operated by Asians.

Ferdinand was sold to Japan and he did go to slaughter when he could no longer produce.  Yes, he may have ended up on someones plate Japan.  He was NOT bought for the sole purpose of being eaten.  He spent many years at stud in Japan and was 18 or 19 before being sent to the slaughterhouse.   Do I think it's right?  No.  I would prefer to see any grand old animal retire in comfort.  But that is their culture and this is ours.

As for the skinning of animals alive.....not right in any culture so I don't have a problem with the Animal Saviors site.  They don't look like a PETA group that is out to rule the world.....just correct one very bad wrong.

I must agree with both of them, and the way I feel is people who sale their animals to Asian Contries just don't give a damn about the animals all they care for is money, also I consider these people who sale their animals to them ONE OF THEM.

I don't even eat their food offered here because you never know what you get.

Now, for those about to attack me? Go right ahead and do your best/worst, but understand this, I straight up don't give a shit what anyone else thinks or says. My feelings on this are intensely powerful and cannot be swayed.

Yes I copied this paragragh from jodagirls post because I feel the same about being attacked or bashed by some of you.

wow, just think if the world was more like you, we'd all be fucked

In case you think "your" culture is any better, maybe a self guided history lesson is in order.  Every culture has things others consider "disgusting".

And let's all remember that it was Ferdinand's greedy AMERICAN owner that sent him to Japan in the first place.

don't give them details that don't fit their narrow ignorant view.  Information that is contrary to what they know will only make their head's  explode.

Instead of wasting time on here, wanna see my bonsai kitten collection?

Okay, MI GSD, I'll concede to some misinformation, but I still feel Asian clutures have very twisted and cruel traditions that should have faded into history by now. EVERY culture has (had) traditions that are cruel to animals and people alike. A great many of those traditions have faded into history as people have evolved to become more enlightened. I don't think there is one single person in the world that does not know and understand that animals experience pain and shock and terror, yet they continue with these horrible practices and still expect to be considered a "civilized" culture.

The United States is the highest producer of animal hide/pelt products in the world and every animal is skinned after it has been first stunned, which is a humane process designed to destroy higher brain functions in an instant so the animal does not experience pain or fear, and then exsanguinated. In case you don't know, exsanguinated means bled out/bled to death. The animal is not touched until exsanguination is complete and the animal is dead. The point I'm making is that the statement made on that site about it being easier to skin a warm, live animal is a load of crap.

I'm not talking about individuals who torture animals for their own sick pleasure who will go on to probably become sociopaths. They exist in every culture, no exceptions. I'm talking about cultural traditions that involve the accepted torture of living beings. The key word here being accepted. It is okay to watch a living creature die a horrible, painful death for the sake of tradition. Don't continue those traditions and expect to be considered civilized.

It is a fact that China has no animal protection legislation.

It is a fact that dogs and cats are slaughtered for their fur, and the fur is exported to North America and other countries, often under fake names, so that people don't know its origin.

It is a fact, which you can confirm by googling the subject that extreme cruelty is involved in the raising and slaughtering of these animals. Those invovled in the raising and slaughter just seem to have no concept that these animals feel pain.

Here is one link of many: http://www.hsus.org/video_clips/page.jsp?itemID=27261256

I know how many feel about the HSUS, but if you search, it's not hard to find similar information from other sources that will confirm what goes on. Animals are either beaten with clubs, or stunned with electricity before skinning. They often are skinned while still alive. If you've got the stomach for it, take a look at the video posted here, which is the worst of many:

http://www.peta.org/feat/chineseFurFarms/index.asp

The site is a PETA site, but the source of the video is the Swiss Animal Protection Society.

When the fur is finally peeled off over the animals' heads, their naked, bloody bodies are thrown onto a pile of those who have gone before them. Some are still alive, breathing in ragged gasps and blinking slowly. Some of the animals' hearts are still beating five to 10 minutes after they are skinned. One investigator recorded a skinned raccoon dog on the heap of carcasses who had enough strength to lift his bloodied head and stare into the camera...

Perhaps now, with the Olympic games being hosted by China, is a good time for us to put pressure on the country to stop these barbaric practises.
