I was at Petco a few days ago buying Blitz a tick collar. Checking out in front of me was a guy buying nursing bottles and formula for his litter of 3 black GSD puppies. The clerk who helped him with his purchase asked what sexes he had. He said he wasn't sure, they may all 3 be boys. The clerk nodded her head and said - yeah, they are only 10 days old so you can't really tell the sexes yet, they are too young .  A few minutes before that I heard her tell him to make sure he cuts the openings in the nipples large enough so the puppies can get the formula. She told him to make an "X" in the end of each and then to suck on them himself to be sure the holes are large enough

Good Lord, Workers at Pet Shops really should have to pass an exam. Just the other day a girl I know told me she went into a shop that sold puppies and inquired about "teacups" moreso out of curiousity not to buy one, but....The employee informed her that they do not buy teacups because the way breeders get them is to "take them out of the momma dog before her due date" and the kicker, the store thought that was unethical (tongue in cheek!!!!!!!)

Blitzen:  UNBELIEVABLE

not quite the same thing - but standing in line at a grocery store, the  lady in front of me bought some glue-traps for mice.  I hate those things, consider them extremely inhumane.  Once the critter is stuck, it can't be released and unless dispatched will starve to death stuck to the trap.  Apparently some idiot had recommended the glue traps for catching her pet hampster that had escaped .  The check-out person just smiled and nodded - duh????  I interjected and asked her if she knew the hampster wouldn't survive being trapped in that manner - she had no idea because people she asked didn't have a clue!!

My German Shepherd has good hips because he runs all day and shows no signs of bad hips,  for mange you have to soak your dog in motor oil and don't give a dog raw meat because it makes them mean,  LOL

We were browsing around at dog beds, my daughter and I and her puppy, I was looking at a 36" bed and a clerk said, "Oh, you'll need a much bigger bed than that, she's a german shepherd, she's going to be 150 pounds!" People CONSTANTLY think her mother, who is 25" and 80 pounds is a puppy, and when I tell people she's 7, they make a face and say, "oh....she's so small." WTF? Someone get me that smiley that's a head banging into a wall...

Petco, where the pets "GO".  in more ways then one.......

I took my dog a couple times when he was younger, much younger......  I would go in the morning when less people were there.  I had one crazy guy chase me down with his young Great Dane and scream at me, cussing, because I HAD to let our dogs play, that's what people came there for.  When I complained to the store employees, they did not seem to see any problems.

This kind of goes with what Kczaja said......We picked up a SchH titled female at the airport and brought her back to the house. The next door neighbor asks if shes mixed with a labrador because shes too small to be a German Shepherd, she was 76 lbs. Why would I have paid $3,500 for a Shepherd/lab mix? People irritate me.
