Attention breeders, trainers, sch. clubs, owners w/ a myspace page.... - Page 1

 I am creating a new website that is bascially MySpace for dogs.  So you can create a page if you own a dog, are a trianer, training group, schutzhund club, breeder, etc.....  Ive started to notice alot of people on MySpace and facebook w/ pages dedicated to their dog,club,training service etc.... 

My goal is to create  community where you can find a local schutzhnd club, breeder, or make a new friend in another country.  Im in the very beginning of creating the site and am haveing problems thinking of all the categories i need to include.  So id like several people to make a page and let me know what needs to be added.

Since you and Ray are partners, I guess you will let Ray Jeffers advertise there that he neglects dogs under his care, looses dogs, and had one die while in his care? Did he ever pay the woman the judgement she was awarded in court because he supposedly lost the dog? Or did it die too?

Yes, definitely, your web pages would be a great place for unethical breeders etc. to advertise. Most who know better will go elsewhere.

Hodie, I have to wonder why you didnt say "the site sounds like it would be an asset but im concerned about abc..." instead you start off w/ stuff i have nothiing to do w/. 

I can tell from this post and othe post you've put up you have a lot of passion for dogs and what you do, but like a lot of dogs w/ too much drive and poor nerve you only accomplish a lot of barking and acting out. instead of thinking thru the situation and trying to calmly solve the problem

what you dont know is that my site will be self policed, meaning the members will have the ability to complain about other members or breeders ...with in reason.  so if a trainer has been doing a good job then he will get good reviews and comments.  if the trianer is doing a shitty job then they will get a poor comments.  Which will leave the trainer w/ afew options. 1 leave the site, 2. make amends 3. have more good comments than bad.   I can only wonder why you didnt ask, if had a way of addressing issues like that.  i dont have time to fully detial the plan but rest assured that there is one. (you will only be able to complain about members, it wont be a place to bash those outside the community)

there is an old saying.  a rumor that doesnt die isnt a rumor.  so as much as ray and i have trianed together, as much as we've gone out drinking together id have to stand back and let the will of the people be done. 

I can understand your frustration about what happened, and certainly understand the emotion and frustration that gets put into some of these threads (ive done it myself) but i just dont understand why you have so much hate in your heart.  But even w/ all the frustration, passion, hate etc.. you have, i will welcome you on my site w/ open arms, as its my goal to make a community where people can share idea's stories, and memories regardless of what you have or havent done.

and all are welcome and those that dont do right by others, will feel the wrath of the people.

Are you saying you are no longer associated with Ray Jeffers? According to his web site, you are his partner! Don't worry, it is not about hate for anyone, but it IS about Ray who did NOT care properly for dogs placed into his care, and who refused to do the right thing when he supposedly "lost" a dog. Given that another dog died in Rays' care, and two dogs whose owners had to take back and were so emaciated that they required vet care (the photos we have all seen are shameful and tell it all), one can only wonder whether the lost dog really got lost.

I just want you to clarify whether you and Ray will be advertising, because if you are, I doubt people who care about dogs will want to post there.

Ray and i are still friends, im not training right now becaue i dont have a dog and have 2 yr old daughter.  The goal of the site is not to be a message board but to allow people to create page to tell about their personal dog, schutzhund club, training group, kennel, rescue organization etc..

its really not about advertising its about as much as its about bringing all the dog community together regardless of if you do show dogs, agility, personal protection of rescue

So if ray decided to make a page to tell everyone about his training group he can. and if someone decided to make a page for thier dog they and complain (in a matter of fact way) they will be able to.  my vision is to have a site where you can find anything pertaining to dogs be it an agility or schutzhund club, breeder or OB trainer.  There will be forums on the site but the point is to create an online communiy or networking site.

I believe I'll start a new website too...  Lets all start websites !!!

Doesn't anyone have an original thought these days?  Myspace for dogs...........lol

I cant see why anyone would want to start this up allowing a person to adverttise there that has such a history as Hodie mentions.  It has not been denied, and this person you state is your friend and is welcome to advertise there.  sorry - that ends the issue for my interest if you know his history and he is welcome to advertise further on your site  It is like having links on a personal website to some-one you know is not worthy....even worse, not safe with dogs in their care.

Two Moons, many people have mysapce pages for their dogs and add friends who do the same. Its a great way to meet new dog people and share pics and stories.

ok i guess im not explaining it correctly but i am starting to remember why i stoped coming to this board.

Anyone who wishes to create profile is free to do so, just like anyone who has been wronged by a member is free to express there greivance.  So at the end of the day why the HELL would someone who is recieving more legitmate complaints than compliments stay around.

Just like there are people are allowed to join this site, regardless of who they are or wha they have done.  Look, im just some jackass who thought it would be nice to have an online community for all people how love dogs, that means schutzhund,agiity,psa, rescue prgrams etc...

i realize im not the world class trainer of 2 moons or have sole claim to the moral high ground such as your self.
