Hello everyone, I am looking to send my dog to Jeff Rentz, formerly of Utah, now residing in North Carolina, to have him train and title my dog. I was wondering if anyone has any experiences with him, good or bad, I am in NJ and have heard from someone in this area that he has titled dogs for people and I wanted to check him out the person I am trusting my dog to.
Feel free to post here or Email me with any info you may have.

I have worked with Jeff in person and have seen him get dogs to do stuff that other trainers have not benn able to. I have worked with some other trainers here in Utah and he able to read my dogs strengths and weaknesses better then the others. I have thought about sending my boy out to him to work on his retrieves

I've dealt with Jeff a few times now. All transactions went well and he was easy to work with. I found him and his wife to be very honest.
I sent a female to be bred to his stud and all went well. Even took pics of the ties!

He's the Dopey looking guy in the picture on his website.
Stand up guy. Has trained with the best, from Ivan and beyond. Just redid his kennel and has a nice setup.
He just needs redundant trucks, alternators, etc...(Inside joke :) )
Great helper.
Cheers!

Jeff and his wife, Jenny, are really nice people and Jeff is a devoted and talented trainer. They take great care of their dogs and I would imagine that your dog would get the same excellant care and attention.
I don't know if you have show or working lines, but Jeff is not prejudist against showlines and has a real nice touch with the dogs. He is able to read each dog individually and bring out their best, from what I have seen.
He is a trainer that I would trust with my own dog, as well.
Best of luck to you! Let us know what you decide! : )

I KNOW HIM!!!!!!!!! my mom works with him, i think if my mom was on here and was trying to think up bad things about him, she wouldnt be able to! my dog Elzie just recently had 7 puppies, and i get to keep one, so im gonna do shutzund with her. im gonna be the first woman in the world to have a gsd so good, that they have to invent a shutzund 4! we used to take elzie to the same club as him, but then he moved. he help alot with elzie. many people did, if my mom gave you a list of people to contact about shutzund, he would be in the top three. he helped with many dog problems, and now elzie is one of the greatest dogs to ever live (in my word) as a pet, and a shutzund champion! its mainly because of him. you should contact him, hes a great trainer, ask any shutzund people in utah and they would probably be farmilair with him. we trained at this one park with him for a while (before he moved) and me and maddie were getting our ''saturdy morning coffe'' and when we walked back we were watching him train, and we were just like, ''dang! that dude rocks!'' three words to descirbe him determined, helpful, and contactable!

I too can vouch for Jeff, he and his wife are really great people! He is an honest person in every sense that I have worked with him. And as mentioned above, he has trained extensively with Ivan. Jeff is a good guy! ~ Kari

He seems like a nice guy. But has he ever titled a dog himself? If someone sends him a dog does he have helpers to help title my dog? Jeff being a nice guy is a great start compared to many in the Sch titling world....
