I have just found out the dates that the City of Dallas will revisit the "Mandatory Spay/Neuter Bill on June 18 and June 25. The Dallas Animal Advocates have gotten together 2,502 original signatures for their petition to present to the City Council and their breifing this week. This is a quote from their site urging others to attend and support this bill:
"You can also attend the City Council meetings on Wedndesday June 18 and June 25 to show your support - your presence is an eloquent statement - to the council, presence equals support.
The Council votes on June 25 - you have time to be heard, please speak out for the animals of Dallas!
We encourage you to join us at the Dallas City council meetings next week (June 18th) and the week after (June 25th) to, show your support for our proposed animal ordinance changes."
Their is still time to be heard, but the City Council will make their final decision on June 25, 2008.

don't you just love how cities want to pass all of these new laws and restrictions, but you dont hear much about them trying to crack down on puppy mills?

It looks like the City of Dallas did hear what those againest this Bill had to say on April 28. There have been some changes to revise the proposed Bill. For instance the "Breeders Permit" has gone from $500.00 a year to $70.00 a year. Here is the link to the changes:
