I am surprised by the lack of commentary on this tournament, given the lengthy comment about the recent USA Schutzhund trials.  Is it just because non-Americans took the top spots? Are you guys REALLY that friggin' ethnocentric? C'mon, now! I think it's really cool that Dr Helmut Raiser took first place. If an old fart like that can still do it, maybe there's hope for old farts like me!

I was rooting for Todd or T., more because they are "local" guys to me.  I was very happy for Todd to get high obedience.  It was very cool to see Helmut win yes.  I had a wonderful time on the Tournament no matter who won!  I really enjoyed watching the "foreign" competitors.  The one guy from Spain really had a shot, but obedience fell apart a bit half way through.  I think that his scores were 96 and 97 going into the obedience routine.   I just loved watching all the handling of these top competitors and was very humbling to see that even at this top level some dogs went around the jump or the a frame.  That was definitely the breaking point.
