I have always been impressed with how quickly the DVG America has put up the results. Vickie I hope you and Darko are enjoying your time in Florida. You have a super nice dog who I have enjoyed knowing. I wish I was there with you and the others. I have always enjoyed the competition so much. Among friends although I am not even a DVG member anymore.

Congratulations Steve Gregalunas & Eli, they won it with a 292 98-96-98, my good friend Phil Hoelcher currently in second with a 289 99-94-96. Sue Nesbit needs a 98 on her track tomorrow to come in second ( -93-98)

Yeah Steve! It sure is not difficult to love you! You are not only a top handler but a great helper. Galaxy loves you as do I. Congratulations!!! And are you heading for Germany this year?

Sunshine,
Thanks for the good wishes! Steve's performance was wonderful, he deserves every bit of the score he got! The judging has been tough though Gotfried is a tough tough protection judge, I figured he would be though!
Darko and I are having a great time and I am just thankful that Darko ran the blinds ok. He had trouble with them on the practice night when we get 5 minutes on the trial field so the dog gets to see the field. But did ace them after all. Anyway, we lost most of our points in protetion because Darko would re-bite after every out! DIRTY DIRTY DOG!! I would rather loose points this way though than the opposite of not engaging the decoy!
My goal is to go and have passing scores and have a great time doing it and cheer on the other competitors! I have made great friends that I am honored to step on the same field as they have been on!
I am looking forward to going home though! I the trip has been exhausting and we had a very difficult time getting around Florida!

Congrats Vickie and Darko! Although you weren't on the podium you represent in the best way the sport. You have so much to be proud of. Give Darko a big hug from his admirer in Texas.

Well, today we tracked. Darko and I got an 85, Darko left the track and took a pee and was slow to down on the articles but otherwise he was foot step to foot step and nailed all the corners. I love Darko and I am pleased! He had a good time as well as I did too! We passed in all 3 phases and had a great time doing it! He is really a better dog than I am a trainer! We did get a 90-91-88 in our last trial and the protection would have been slightly higher if I had not pushed him to far up the field when we ran blinds, I caused him to skip a few blinds. I still have lots to learn as a handler!
Sue Nesbit got a 99 in tracking putting her in 2nd place!! Woo Hoo!!! Way to go Sue!
