Silbersee

by Silbersee on 10 June 2008 - 21:06

I just received a call from an old friend of ours who volunteers at the Frederick County Humane Society in Maryland.  She informed me that the shelter is housing a dark sable female GSD, estimated to be 6 years old with the tattoo No. OJ28W8 (or something similar, it is not very legible). She weighs around 76 pounds and is thought to be of workinglines. She was brought in in March after being found in Rocky Ridge (Frederick Co., MD) chasing livestock. She appeared to have had a gun shot wound on her back (the farmer must not have taken likely to her chasing his stock) and also has a umbical hernia. The female was adopted out but recently brought back because the people were allergic (hmmm!!).

Anybody who knows of somebody missing such a female or who would be interested in adopting her, needs to get in contact with the shelter. The email addie is ahiltz@FredCo-MD.net

I think Mary Davis who is a K9 officer and a GSD breeder ( von der Polizei)  is in that area someplace. Perhaps they could contact her and she might know further resources.

bump!

Beth, the shelter is monitoring that thread as well. If I am not mistaken, "302" is Delaware. That would mean that these ladies live in the Northeastern part of MD, not the Northern part? But I am sure they will follow this lead as well. Thanks!

Chris
