Thanks to everyone at the GSDL Champ show who helped save our dogs life!
We were overwhelmed by how everyone rallied round to help our Chiara Cito. The vet said it was the quick action of first aid which almost certainly saved him. We are so very very grateful to you all.

Hi Graham & Angie
So very pleased that Cito is ok and was only to glad to be off some help It was fantastic how everyone pulled together and did their bit. For those off you who don't know Cito was collapsed and suffering from heat stroke due to the fan in the dog trailer malfunctioning. Please if this should ever happen to you DO NOT simply submerge the dog in cold water as some people where suggesting as this will most certainly result in death due to shock. reduce the body temperature gradually by putting cold water on the dog concentrating on the under belly and if possible get the dog to drink some re hydration solution. Then when stabilised enough take to a vet for i/v fluids. This was what was done with Cito and most certainly is what saved his life.

Hi Graham and Angela
So glad to here your boy is better after yesterdays events. It was good to see everybody pulling together to help and working as a team. It was good that there were a few veterinary Nurse's around to help as well as everybody's years of knowledge in the breed.
