I have a dog I got from tiekerhook kennel that is 2-2 on Nick. I wanted to register her with USA/SV so that I could get a breed survey done on her. I am wondering if this is going to be possible because of the close inbreeding? I don't really want to send everything in and find out a year later I shouldn't have bothered. If not ,is there another option for me to get a breed survey done? I realize I can ask someone at the USA office, but I was looking to see if maybe someone had been through this before.
Thanks
Candy

I'm not sure because I thought the closest allowed by the SV is 3-3. , but if you are able to register her individually through USA/SV good luck getting it any time soon. I have been VERY patiently waiting for more than 2 years now - and I'm such an eternal optomist, I'm STILL hopeful it will arrive any day now.

The first question is does your dog otherwise meet the breed survey requirements? And I do think that the close breeding is not allowed by the SV. If the dog meets the breed survey requirements, then simply call the SV and ask about it before sending all the papers and paying the money.

I have done an inidividual and received it back very quickly. If there is an issue with the sire/dam's paperwork or clarifcation needed, that is usually the reason for the delay. And the breeder (if a litter) or owner(if individual) is notified what the problem is.

Suffice it to say the issues in my case are not related to the sire, dam, breeder, or owner and unfortunately it is my understanding I am only one of many still waiting (patiently). Hopefully, mine will be in the mail (any day now).

My dog does not yet meet the requirements for a breed survey, but shoud be ready within a year. I know that it can take a long time to to get papers back from USA, so I wanted to get on it now and be ready. John, I was under the impression they needed to be registered with USA in order to enter a breed survey. Did you say that you sent in your dogs registration application with the results of the survey? or was your dog already USA registered? I guess I really need to just cantact the SV. Thank you to all who replied.

If you do the breed survey with USA, yes, the dog needs to be resgistered with USA.
With WDA, no.
I would check directly with the SV as well.

yes, i sent both in at the same time, i only did the usa reg, and not the dual usa/sv.
