I'm sorry about the quality of the pics...we sort of had a hard time holding it up to the sky and taking the pictures...no matter how short I am :(  all the fuzz and crap is from the camera...not the Xray.

These are for a 13 mo female under sedation for prelims.

Is this a GSD? Hips good to excellent. Don't know enough about elbows to make a comment.

She's my WSSD bitch - the WSSDs have all GSD ancestors - so I assume they would be graded the same...and the structure isnt all that far from the working line dogs or some of the moe moderate Ambred lines.

Thanks Blitzen :)

I thought the bone structure looked small for a 13 month old female GSD, but it's hard to tell sometimes. Not knowing the prototype for this breed makes it more of a guess, but the hips still look pretty good to me.

It's because I took a crappy picture :(  I'll see if I can print out the xerox copy I took..which is harder to see (and penciled in) but generally more in proportion...The xray was held at an angle...I was at an angle...and the knees were the closest thing to us :(  I need to figure out another way to make the copies

I have no difficulty scanning x-rays on my HP flatbed scanner with the lid open, during the daylight, with lots of ambient light covering the film. If the image is too dark, you can change the density with you scanning or phot editing software,

Here is an example:
