I have been feeding K-9 Cravings for 3 years.  My dogs love it, their coats are awesome and they do not get fat on it.  It is really convenient.  I do feed raw chicken about 3 times a week instead of the K-9 Cravings.  I try to follow Dean Calderone's schedule of not combining raw with dry.  I am not really able to feed a kibble diet with one of my GSDs anyway as he gets some GI upset (diarrhea) when he eats kibble of any kind.  I am able to buy chicken pretty inexpensively anway, just don't want them eating it every day as occasionally we see it coming back around 2 a.m. from one of the females.  Not pleasant to wake up to in the middle of the night.

I don't have any knowledge about the other product you mentioned.  Sorry.  Depending on where you live you may be able to get your K-9 Cravings cheaper from the distributor directly instead of going through your local breeder.

In short, I think it is a great product and my dogs never have any GI problems with it as they do with any other product I have tried.  I buy mine in bulk and stock up the dog freezer every few months.  It really saves a lot over buying it by the case.

One other thing, Dean Calderone's website is www.deancalderone.com.  Go to his "off the cuff" section to read about his feeding plan.  I do give the dogs organic eggs, including shell, twice a week along with some yogurt for the probiotics, especially if a dog has been on antibiotics for some reason.  Dean's plan is very easy to follow.  I also give the Grizzly Salmon Oil which he recommends.

After speaking  to the creator of K-9 Cravings I generally do not add Vertex or Structure or similar supplemental product unless I have a pregnant bitch or anyone needing a little extra nutrition.  They do well on the K-9 Cravings alone.

Good luck, and as Dean says, it is not rocket science, just observe your dog's energy level, coat, vibrance, and he will tell you if you need to supplement.  Be careful in supplementing with puppies.  Too much protein in a growing dog can be a negative thing.

This stuff is awesome, I love K9 Kraving and was feeding it until I lost my job and now can't afford it

One of the gals in our area has a raw co-op and they share freezer space in a warehouse so they can buy large amounts at once, you my try to find a co-op in your area, there are more people feeding raw than you can imagine!  Kelley does feed Oma's Pride and she really likes it, I gave her some K9 Kraving and she loved it, but the cost was a  bit more than K9 Kraving so she stayed with Oma's Pride.

K9 Kraving is great though for travel, which most raw isn't so friendly, this is pretty good and can stay refrigerated for 7 days.  I was just talking with a friend of mine yesterday and she feeds cow carcasses from a local veal farmer, she said one lasts 2 days for 5 rotties.  She does supplement with organ meat and kelp etc.  But she pays $25.00 for three carcasses!

Good luck!!!
