Looking for local trainers in my state, WA, that do Cadaver dog training. Pulled up a search on line but did not find anything.

Anyone have information on this and recommendations of trainers?

Try looking for just Search and Rescue dog training.  The www.nasar.org or www.sarcontacts.org sites should have some good contact information.  I'm told by my teams handlers that most SAR K9 teams don't refer to the HRD dogs openly and just refer to them as K9 teams since it's a sensitive area for folks.  It's proably the same with the specialized training.

Marcia Koenig and Andy Rebmann, two renouned cadaver dog trainers live in WA State, just south of Seattle.  They are with King Country Search Dogs.  http://www.kcsearchdogs.org/

Their personal site for their training business is

http://www.cadaverdog.com/

Andy also wrote the cadaver dog handbook that many cadaver dog handlers have in their library next to Syrotouk.  They have a very limited schedule outside of their own training these days. Their time is very much in demand --- But being in the Western part of the US, you should definitely get to one of their seminars if you can. You get your moneys worth.
