I am looking for a good digital camera that will take great action shots of our dogs on the training field. What camera have any of you used and could you post some action photos? I would like to see what type of photos these camera's are taking.

I've taken a lot of photos with a cheap $300 Kodak Easy Share camera, but it's difficult to get good quality action shots due to the limitations of the camera.
For example, in this picture I was zoomed in too much and chopped off hubby's head because the images didn't have the quality for much "zoom and crop". Furthermore, a picture like this is pure luck... the dog's head and the sleeve are in focus but the rest is blurred through motion - cool effect but completely accidental and not consistently repeatable.
I have since graduated to a Canon Rebel XTi, my first SLR camera, which is far more capable.
This photo was taken with the Rebel, by my hubby who's only concept of photography is "point and shoot". Very nice results regardless of his utter lack of techique. LOL. Thus we get... Malinois Ballet.
The Canon Rebel XTi is about $800 if I recall correctly, and well worth the investment. It is still considered an amateur's camera, and the pros think nothing of spending $2000+. I think this camera is a good buy for the functionality that you get.

Another bit of unsolicited advice on getting good action shots...
This photo is a "bad quality" picture. Poor focus, bad color, yada yada yada. But it's stil a cool photo because I was able to place myself so close to the jump with a well disciplined dog who completely ignored me as she went for the dumbbell.
So even if the picture is "bad" you can still pull off some cool shots if the dogs can ignore learn to ignore the photographer and you can place yourself in unconventional angles for the shot.
