This morning, on the news, I saw a segment on this vaccine. Every summer, several of my dogs get bit by Rattlers. My old yellow lab, has been bitten so much, she has built up an immunity, and hardly even swells. She hates the snake and hunts for them. My little Patterdale, craves snake and eats them.
I called the lab this vaccine comes from, to see if I could purchase a bulk order. The girl told me its only available through a Vet. She informed me, its been out since 2003. I thought it was new. She informed me, the injection is sub q, but a very precise sub q. It has to be given under the skin and fat, but above a large muscle. She said, she likes the side of the neck.
