FCI Paper Help!!!! - Page 1

Okay, so I made a photo-copy of my 13.5 x 12 FCI import Ped, using my scanner. I had to print the whole thing on two pieces of paper, because only one half would fit on each page...So, I'm cutting the edges of the printed copies right now, and plan on taping them together...

My question is this, will AKC accept this??? I've called ALL of the local Printing, Copying, Scanning places, even some as far as 50 miles away, and NONE of them can copy a 13.5 x 12.

I am interested in hearing what I should do, or what others have done when submitting an FCI import ped to the AKC.

I certainly will NOT send my original, that is OUT OF THE QUESTION. (I don't trust AKC as far as I can throw them!)

The UPS store should have no problem doing this.

I thought that the AKC required for you to send the orginal????   I had to.....I received it back, but AFTER I received my AKC Registration papers....I was a nervous wreck thinking they lost them. 

SKI, I called UPS, they said they could scan it, but not at 13.5 x 12, it was too large...

When I last contacted AKC about registering one of my GSD's that have an SV pedigree/registration they said that they had changed their rules and now only accept the original pedigree to register them...Where is your pedigree/registration from....Germany...Hungary...?...You might need other paperwork before sending them in to the AKC...

Bob, my girl is from the Czech Republic. Here's what I have to send: Her FCI Import Pedigree, Her shipping paper from the breeder to the importer, and if nessisary (though I doubt why it would be) her passport.

Maybe I missed something on the AKC website, but they said FCI isn't a registration, and is not acceptable, but she is from the Czech Republic with an FCI Pedigree, does that make a difference? It is a Czech stamped Ped, pink papers.

I can now see why I only bought from the States...this a pain in the ass

They always accepted copies before....Geez, they've lost my entire registration packet before, including the beschinigung.  I'd be a nervous about sending the originals.   Veronica

The SV one I had copied at the UPS store, in color and two sided to match the original, was very slighty smaller then the original.  It seemed to work fine when I did the AKC.  Unless somebody had an original side by side with the color copy it would be difficult to tell the difference. 

I just got my German Import AKC registered.  All I did was copy the pink papers on my scanner and didn't even tape them.

They had no problem with it.  I just got my AKC papers back 2 days ago.

As long as your money is green, the AKC is happy!
