Hi all,
Added the ability to remove pedigrees from the database. It opens up naturally an avenue for miscreants to to bad stuff, but all is very well logged. IP's and usernames.
Found in the action links of the pedigree section.

Thank you so much Oli.
I finally got to delete that silly pedigree I made before I knew how to use this site!
(It was a pedigree consisting of only my boys call-name, oops!)

So, Your saying no one can remove our pedigrees if I isnt the one that put them up...Is that right..What keeps someone from going in and removing a pedigree just to cause a big mess..?

Thanks Oli!
I already have used your new feature to remove a double pedigree on an adult dog I bought years ago. Apparently her previous owner had registered her on your database, misspelling her Full name the first time and then doing it a second time spelling her full name correctly, so she was actually double registered with both names.
So I appreciate this new feature and hope members act like adults, use good judgment, and use this new feature correctly and for the sole purpose that you have installed it for, to make corrections.
Kudos

Sounds like from what Tru says,, you can remove any pedigree , even if you did not put it up...The good news is Oli knows who removes it....Check the Change History...and I guess we all need to watch our pedigrees quite often to make sure they are still there.
Did all of you see the ad , that a person here in the USA has up , because some one changed her picture on her V1P females pic and put a dehydrated dog taking a dump on the database....how cruel.....Oli has the ability, thank goodness, to know who does the changing and posting,,,but takes an act of congress to rectify the damage....
The ad Im referring to is on a dog named Britta something or another ...didnt make note of it but sure did read it and took note...

The ad was two fold...one said This is not Britta vom Bethel and shows the horrible pic someone replaced his real pic with
The other ad he put up shows : This is the real Britta vom Bethel.....hope we dont have to go thru this....

Well the thing is that It has been open for a long time. People could simply change names, mess with the information. etc...
But 99% of the reason people want to remove a pedigree is for perfectly valid reasons, duplicates, nonexisting dog, etc...
There is a sidenote though, can't remove a pedigree that has any showresults on them and if there are progeny regstered, then you cannot remove it either.

ps. and I have of course the whole information stored and ready. So if someone starts deleting your dogs, I can instantly find out which dogs you registered and who is deleting them.
I love complicated database structures :)
